AMA Racing & Steve Nace Racing Announce 2014 AMA Indoor Dirt Track National Championship Series Schedule

2014 AMA Indoor Dirt Track National Championship Series will feature 18 rounds of short-track and TT race action

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- October 11, 2013 -- American Motorcyclist Association amateur dirt-track racers have plenty of opportunity to get out and race this winter. The AMA Indoor Dirt Track National Championship Series, now in its third year, has expanded to 18 rounds with events in Du Quoin, Ill., Springfield, Ill., and Sturgis, Ky., from October through February 2014.

Promoted by Steve Nace Racing Promotions, the series will feature short-track and TT competition in a number of classes, with youth, amateur and vet/senior riders all racing for AMA national No. 1 plates.

"The AMA Indoor Dirt Track National Championship Series has grown significantly the past few seasons thanks to well-run events and a dedicated rider following," said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant. "Riders who attend one of these events have the opportunity to compete against quality talent in every class, and that keeps bringing everyone back for more."

Promoter Steve Nace of Steve Nace Racing Promotions said he is looking forward to another year of organizing national-caliber events.

"AMA racers don't want to take time off just because it's cold outside, and we're pleased to offer them a place to compete over the winter months," Nace said. "Over the past couple years, we've drawn riders from both coasts who come to challenge for race wins and points toward an AMA national No. 1 plate. For anyone who's eager to try the sport of dirt track, there's no better time or place than this series."
