AMA Flat Track: Johnny Lewis & Scott Powersports Ready for 2011 AMA Grand National Championship Season Opener at Daytona

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Lewis can be seen sitting in his pit area during a break in the on-track action discussing upcoming race strategy with his #10 Scott Powersports team at the Lucas Oil Indy Mile round of the AMA Pro Flat Track K&N Filters presented by Motorcycle Superstore.com Grand National Championship Series on August 28, 2010. In spite of missing the Indy event, Lewis ended the season ranked tenth in the final year-end point standings, and the Scott Powersports/Cycle Dynamics/K&N Filters/Pit Posse-sponsored team and rider are all ready and geared up for an even better finish to the year in the upcoming 2011 season.
Lewis rides the Kawasaki 650R-based twin in the Twins Series events, and also brings a lethal Honda CRF450 to the Singles Series events on the season's calendar, and has proved to be a threat in all types of tracks that the series visits each season. With 2010 in the rear window, and a very strong finish to the year to bolster his and the team's efforts for the year, 2011 should see them even more present at the front in The Rolling Thunder Show.
JL10 started the year off strong at Daytona with finishes of sixth and fourth, and then at the series two TT circuits, with an eighth place finish at Springfield and a hard-fought fifth place finish at Peoria for a great Singles Series finish of seventh overall. He also brought home a seventh place finish at I-96 in Lake Odessa and an eighth place finish at the Canterbury Park Mile in Minnesota to round out the Twins Series in the 15th overall position.

Johnny Lewis came on like a shot in the 2010 AMA Pro Flat Track K&N Filters presented by Motorcycle Superstore.com Grand National Championship Series season. In his first full year of competition in the highly competitive series, Lewis and his Scott Powersports-backed team ended the season in the 10th spot in the year-end point standings, and with his excellent finishes in the Singles Series events at Daytona, Peoria and the Springfield TT, he finished the year ranked seventh on his Singles Series Honda CRF450.
With the 2010 season long over, the upcoming year gets set to kick off this coming Thursday, March 10. With the Daytona Short Track rounds set to kick off the new season, Lewis has been testing and getting ready for another run at the top ten in the most competitive form of wheeled motorsports in the world. With both Daytona rounds and the April 16 event at DuQuoin starting off the season for the Singles bikes, look for Lewis at the front to get the year started off right for him and Scott Powersports.

Good luck to JL10 and the Scott Powersports team in the 2011 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship Series season. It should be a great year for this fine young man and his team!
